LeanOn is looking for an independent and business-driven New Business Manager who wants to take full responsibility for our new sales operations and drive the company's continued growth.

About the role

As a New Business Manager, you are responsible for LeanOn's new sales by building relationships, exploring customer needs, and identifying new business opportunities. Your prospects will primarily be banks, fund companies, securities firms, and other relevant players within the financial industry and related sectors. Business opportunities also exist outside of Sweden.

This is an operational role where the right candidate thrives on a high activity level and is expected to spend a significant part of their time outside the office, for example, at customer meetings, networking events, industry conferences, and other relevant activities. You need to enjoy creating your own meetings, driving outreach, building your pipeline, and taking responsibility for moving business dialogues forward.

You will initially not have personnel responsibility, which means you need to be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the entire sales process. In customer dialogues and more technical meetings, you will receive support from senior colleagues with deep product and technical expertise. Therefore, the role does not require you to be a technical expert yourself, but you must be able to understand the customer's needs, ask the right questions, and translate technical solutions into clear business value.

This is an opportunity for the right person to put their mark on LeanOn's new sales, develop best practices for our sales process, and help build the next phase of the company's commercial development.

In the long term, there may be an opportunity to grow into a larger and more strategic responsibility, for example, related to our existing customer accounts.

Primary responsibilities

  • Drive LeanOn's new sales from first contact to signed customer contract.
  • Independently manage prospecting, lead origination, customer meetings, and needs analysis.
  • Contribute to increasing awareness of LeanOn and our offerings among relevant target groups.
  • Represent LeanOn at events, in networks, and in other relevant contexts.
  • Responsible for the continued development of LeanOn's sales process, including the use of HubSpot.
  • Work closely with LeanOn's CPO and customer managers to ensure that market insights, customer needs, and business opportunities are translated into the right product priorities.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for you who are driven by creating your own business and who have a natural curiosity about customer needs. You know how to drive complex B2B sales processes and are not dependent on a large sales organization around you. You are motivated by building structure, creating momentum, and taking responsibility for results.

You are independent, resilient, fearless, and commercially strong. You can open doors, build trust with senior decision-makers, and drive business forward even when sales cycles are long and solutions are complex.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have a strong internal drive, a high activity level, and the ability to combine relationship building with structure and clear follow-up. There are a number of existing dialogues with potential new customers that can be followed up on directly. After a few months, you are expected to have established a clear and larger pipeline, created new customer dialogues within prioritized segments, and contributed to further developing LeanOn's sales process.

Requirements for the role

  • Experience in qualified B2B sales, preferably within fintech, banking, finance, insurance, SaaS, IT consulting, or complex system solutions.
  • Documented experience in new customer acquisition and building a pipeline from scratch.
  • Ability to drive the entire sales process from lead origination to signed contract.
  • Experience selling to senior decision-makers.
  • Good understanding of complex sales processes with multiple stakeholders and often long sales cycles.
  • Ability to understand technical solutions and explain their business value clearly to customers.
  • Structured work approach and ability to prioritize, follow up, and create momentum in several parallel dialogues.
  • Very good communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • A natural ability to build relationships and networks, including via LinkedIn.

Preferred qualifications

  • Personal network within relevant segments, such as banking, finance, stock exchange, funds, wealth management, insurance, or pensions.

Personal qualities

  • Relationship-building, curious, and trustworthy.
  • Very independent and responsible.
  • Business-driven and results-oriented.
  • Fearless in new customer acquisition.
  • Structured, resilient, and long-term oriented.
  • A humble doer who is ready to do the work that is required.

Reporting and organizational placement

The role reports to the CEO and is part of LeanOn's management team. The role is based in Stockholm.

The role has no personnel responsibility initially. The focus is on independently driving and developing new sales.
